Lomar and Joaquin were absolutely wonderful guides. Not only were they absolutely hilarious but they also made sure we felt safe at all times. They explained how to do everything and went out of their ways to point out different wildlife and plants. Great tour!!! We went on the canyoning, zip lines, and rappels tour. Wilson and Renato took really good care of us and had our safety in mind always. The tour started with pickup from our hotel in Jaco at 6:50 am, straight to the mountain for a home made breakfast, and then on a 4x4 to the starting point. My husband went to Costa Rica for our 20th wedding anniversary. We decided less than 24 hours before going to do this tour and boy am I glad we did. Our tour guide, Lomar was probably one of the best tour guides I’ve experienced doing tours like these in Jamaica and Nassau. We chose the early times. We met Lomar at 7:00am at the designated meeting place. Taco bar in Jaco. We were early and he was there before us. We park and get in the van and we realize we had this tour to ourselves. What a gift. I tore my right acl two years ago at a waterfall excursion so I was scared. Lomar was patient and went at my pace. The challenge was worth every minute and every penny. After Lomar picked us up we went to Shirley’s for a traditional Costa Rican breakfast where (she graciously cooks out of her private home)our gracious hosts (cookie and duke the dogs) kept us company while we ate. After breakfast we took a ride up the mountain picking mangos, and seeing sloths, and other wildlife that was so wonderful to see them in their natural surroundings. When you get to the top of the mountain it says on the website short walk to falls. Imma tell you all. That is hogwash. If you have knee, back or hip problems be very careful and wear braces bring a walking stick. It is a very challenging walk to the falls. I had a brace and a waking stick and was concerned. I made it. It was all worth it. At the end of the tour we went back. So far has been the highlight of the trip all though my bootie and thighs are sore as hell.

A Natural,Beautiful and Immersive Costa Rica Jungle Experience
I usually don't write reviews, but our experience with Costa Rica Waterfall Tours was so fantastic, I had to share. Our guide, Lamar, was funny, energetic, knowledgeable, and took extra time during our drive and hike to the waterfalls to get to know our group and cater to our interests. We had a number of birders and Lamar figured that out quickly and really knew his stuff. We saw Macaws, Toucans and various other birds on the tour, in addition to monkeys, snakes, dart frogs, and incredible plant and insect species. The hike was just enough to get your blood flowing and very beautiful. The falls were beautiful, refreshing and the jumps off of the 3M and 10M platforms was exhilarating - - maybe we'll try the 15+M platform next time. This place is one of the best tours in Costa Rica. Amazing food at the start, wonderful community. The guides are so nice and love their jobs. We hiked the waterfalls which starts with an open air ride up mountain with amazing view. Then to several waterfalls where you can jump in and swim in the cool clean water. There are three high platforms that are fun to jump off...the first one is no prob...second one a little scary but doable! Third one...no way. But so much fun and we will do again. Thank you!

This place is awesome. Lomar and Lesley were amazing guides. This place is so beautiful. The waterfalls, nature, and the lunch was all pura vida.
Lomar has a great sense of humor and put us all at ease.
Their attention to safety and diligence in keeping us safe made us able to relax and enjoy the afternoon.
Personally, Lomar helped me overcome a fear of jumping 15 feet into a pool of water. He was so kind and patient. That was a first for me.
They did feed us a snack of chicken with rice, plantains, and salad. We didn’t know this before coming so we weren’t super hungry but you will burn a lot of calories so eat up.
This was an amazing experience. We laughed, played, and wanted more.
We were a group of 6 ranging from 45-55. All active.
This is not an easy experience but one you should try if you’re looking for amazing guides, attention to safety, and a whole lot of fun

WOW! If you are looking for extreme adventures with incredible guides, look no further. Our family enjoyed not one, but TWO amazing excursions with Costa Rica Waterfall Tours (Extreme Canyoning and the Extreme Adventure tours). During the first excursion we had Wilson, Joaquin, and Renato. From the moment Wilson picked us up and greeted us with his bubbly personality, I knew we were in for great fun. The day started with a delicious Costa Rican breakfast. We then jumped in an incredibly cool jungle Jeep and headed to the starting point. The guys were easy to joke with all while never losing sight of safety. We ziplined, cliff jumped and rappelled - so many fabulous activities rolled into one excursion! Our family of 5 did the excursion together. Our kids are 20, 18 and 17, and we are all athletic. The excursion itself is the easy part - the CLIMB back up is the real test. Do not underestimate the climb back up. It is strenuous, so be prepared (in shape) or plan to take lots of breaks along the way. The journey and fun is well worth the climb afterwards!

Anyone visiting Costa Rica must go on this tour!!! It’s so much more than just a waterfall tour. Wilson , our guide , stopped to show us local plants and animals. We learned so much in the jungles. We ate edible plants, we made war paint from leaves full of the iron rich, clay ,soils, we saw toucans, we ate termites… The list goes on and on… We also were fed arroz con pollo and met Cookie and Duke (mountain pups) I will never forget this tour. They were very knowledgeable about the local area, wildlife and eco system and shared their fascinating knowledge with us. Booked this during a family vacation (my wife and I and three kids, 9-16) and it was worth every penny and then some. Out guide, Joaquin, was friendly, informative and attentive, and made sure we all had an amazing time. We got picked up downtown Jacó and then took a minibus trip halfway up the mountain to a little gorgeous village where we had a delicious homemade lunch. Then into the "jungle limousine" (refitted Toyota Hilux with canopy seating in the bed) for the next leg of the trip - all the way up into the mountains, past some breathtaking scenery. Joaquin stopped to tell us about the local flora and fauna that we could see as we passed by (vanilla vines, a berry related to citronella, some scarlet macaws, toucans and even a poison dart frog!) and then helped us every step of the way down to the incredible waterfall pools where we spent the afternoon feeling utterly refreshed, then back up and back into town at the end of the day. Amazing experience! The Extreme Canyoning tour is physically challenging but SO MUCH FUN! One of a kind experience and location. The location is very remote. Be prepared to get dirty and wet and have a blast doing it! The team did a great job of making this extremely dangerous adventure feel safe and secure. Our waterfall hike with Joaquin was more than we could’ve asked for and expected. Our day started with an amazing Costa Rican breakfast at a local village. Then we took a jeep up to the trailhead to begin our moderate hike to 4 waterfalls with pools to swim and leap into. We also saw monkeys, a toucan, iguanas, poison dart frogs, and amazingly huge and colorful butterflies. It was the perfect half day tour from start to finish and Joaquin made it fun and was very interactive. Would definitely do it again!

Amazing experience. Lomar was just amazing! We read many of the reviews so we knew this would be good and it still beat our expectations. We were also with a 2.5 year old and a 5.5 year old. Lomars professionality and hospitality made it very enjoyable and doable for a family with two young kids. Adventure and surrounded by beautiful nature but still felt very safe and doable for the children. We did carry our 2.5 year old for most of this, as it would have been too challenging for her to walk and climb the falls on her own, but with the help and expertise of our guide we were able to really enjoy this unique adventure. As many people in comments said, the guide will share information about the area, the plant life and the wildlife. The area is beautiful, and the falls are beautiful as well. No one else around, only the people on your tour. Its great!!!

Canyoneering down a private waterfall!!! A must do in Costa Rica!!!
Lomar and Joaquin made this adventure truly the highlight of our entire trip. It ended up being just my husband and me, which made it a bit more terrifying for me, but they both put me at ease and kept me laughing along the way.I am not that adventurous, but I really wanted to try this, and I am so glad we did. Lomar took the lead, and Joaquin recorded our entire trip. They even managed to convince me to do the 12-foot jump into the waterfall (as long as they tied a line around me - to fish me out), which is not something I would ever do, since I really don't know how to swim that well. The food was amazing and a perfect small meal to help fuel us before our descent down the waterfalls. At one point, my husband lost his GoPro. They both went to follow his tracks to go look for it. They ended up finding it at the bottom of a small waterfall.I loved that this is a private waterfall and only accessible by this company, which made this tour even more unique. Thank you both for the wonderful memories!!! I highly recommend this to everyone who visits Costa Rica.

This is the second time I've done this tour in the last few years and I would do it again! It is so beautiful and fun to hike the mountain and jump in the waterfalls. Lomar & William were great! Though extremely hot, had a nice lunch at “base camp.” Then a quick safari ride up the mountain and a short adventurous hike to and up the waterfalls. Lomar explained about some flora & fauna on the ride up and we saw 3 macaws close up on the way down. Definitely recommend hopping into the water to cool off as the hike out is quite steep. Also take the hiking stick if a bit older or out of shape and take your time and Drink plenty of water! Safe travels!!!

Josue and Wilson are THE BEST!!!! Our Favorite Tour!
Our trip was amazing! Josue and Wilson were equally hilarious and friendly and educational about all things nature! They spoke English perfectly and communicated well. We had no trouble finding them, the transportation to site was smooth and easy, and we got to ride an ATV up the mountains to the waterfalls. The authentic lunch was nice and they provided water shoes (we forgot ours). Everything was awesome and we would definitely do it again!

What a rush!
What an adrenaline rush this is! The team of guides were very professional and always thinking of our safety. You start with a traditional Costa Rican lunch - we booked the 1pm tour. Next you travel up the mountain by truck and take 2 zip lines through the trees. Then, if you dare you can jump into the base of a waterfall from 2 different heights. After a short hike down to the rappelling area, we rappelled down 3 levels of waterfalls. After that you climb back up via ladders and stairs back to the truck. We highly recommend this excursion with this tour group.
This excursion was by far the best I’ve ever done! It was thrilling, exciting and the perfect challenge. Repelling your way down this breath taking waterfall was truly an experience I’ll never forget! The guides are amazing!! They all were fun and helpful. Some of our favorites include : Leslie, Ty, Jeffery, Wilson, Lomar. Josue (Josh) especially was a huge help! He was so kind and had a peaceful presence. Family Fun in the Falls!
We did the Explorer Tour. Before the tour began, we enjoyed a local meal of rice and chicken and plantain chips on banana leaves. The tour itself was very enjoyable, once we got to the water. There is a fairly steep path from the parking area to the stream, with some steps and railings. The remaining portion was rainforest trails. Our guide, Joaquin, pointed out several things along the trail. Once we got to the water, it was fun getting wet and swimming! Joaquin explained safety information at each of the waterfalls. He also helped us proceed upstream to each of the subsequent falls. The kids had a blast sliding down the rocks in the safe areas and even getting behind the falling water when we could. Joaquin did not rush us and let the kids have all the fun they could handle. At the final waterfall, there was a 20' deep pool, so there were places where you could jump in from 10' and even higher.There was a fairly steep, but well-maintained and wide, path to bring us back to the parking lot. A tough climb after all the playing we did in the waterfalls!For many in our group, they agreed this was one of the best adventures we had during our trip! Joaquin was a good guide and was definitely concerned with our safety and learning about the ecosystem at the same time.

This is a great company to do business with. There were some hiccups in the beginning of our tour, but they were quickly overcome after I spoke with Joe on the telephone. I don’t think I’ve ever received such quick and prompt service after I mentioned the issue. Then when the tour actually got started, it was amazing.And as weird as it is, our tour guide actually prevented one of us potentially from going to the hospital. We were making our way to the waterfall and he insisted on going first. My son and I were very closely behind him and all of a sudden he put both of his arms out and stopped us in our tracks! I had no idea why. And then I saw two massive snakes that were just up ahead in the path-so not only does this company respond well to unexpected things but they also have guests’ safety and security always in mind!

To and from the waterfalls was seamless and our guide Lomar was informative and fun. If you don’t learn something on the hike, you’re not listening.There is nothing like plunging 8’ or if inclined, 30’, into invigorating water. We were a party of 6, 3 couples all strangers, all Americans. We had a great time as if we weren’t strangers. Food was great and was much needed later. The hike is moderately strenuous. What a fun experience!
So much fun! Neither my husband or I had ever done this before. The guides gave us a quick lesson and made us feel very safe. Not once did we feel unsafe or scared. These guys know what they are doing and make sure you are comfortable every step of the way. The breakfast first at a local farm was delicious (we did the 7am tour). The ziplining and cliff jumping were awesome to start out with. You do need some physical ability to rappel and you also have to hike back up the side of the waterfall using ladders and ropes but you are clipped in to a rope for safety so I didn't think it was scary at all. I loved the whole experience and I'm usualy afraid of heights! The hike back to the truck was neat too, the guides stopped every so often to tell us about a plant or bug or whatever we came across. The open air ride to and from was awesome too! Beautiful views! We did all 4 descents and were pretty sore and tired that night but would do it again and highly recommend these guys!!

A completely fabulous tour. First being picked up in a great van with air conditioning, the tour guide was amazing, knowledgeable and very courteous. I missed somewhere that they were going to feed us, that was great because my teen was hungry. The food was delicious. From there a ride on a truck that takes you up into the rain forest. Our guide Lomar was a superstar. Knew everything about every plant and animal and pointed it out to us. When we arrived to the unloading spot, he offered us walking sticks and from there we started our descent towards the waterfall pools. They are breathtaking. Swimming in them is a joy and the guides are fantastic at taking pictures with out phones and keeping them dry and safe. They are so strong and will help you navigate all the rocks and the trail. I discovered thanks to my guide flora and fauna I had never seen before and while swimming in one of the pools, it started raining a little. The rainforest. An amazing day that ended with watermelon and pineapple and complete joy. I would just add to bring a towel for when you are done with the whole thing so you don’t stay wet the whole way back to the hotel. Amazing experience.

Best adventure on my trip!
This was a fantastic hike. Easy to moderate difficulty. Guide was very personable and informative. A meal came with the hike. The waterfalls were fantastic. We were able to swim in all of them. They became deeper the higher we went. The finale was a 30 foot jump into a pool at the bottom of a waterfall. Exillerating. I would do it again and recommend it to others.

Would recommend this to see wildlife and monkeys!
We did the monkey mangrove boat tour and it was such a cool experience. My goal for my Costa Rica trip was to see monkeys and sloths. And we got to feed multiple monkeys and they climbed all over us. Our guide was great and would recommend doing this to see wildlife!! The views from the boat were amazing as well

Best excursion ever!!
This experience was awesome!!! Our tour guides were knowledgeable, kept us safe and most importantly so fun!! We got a delicious home cooked lunch! We got to learn so much about birds and animals during the hike portion of the tour and had a blast in the waterfalls!! The guides were awesome with taking photos and making sure we had the best time. We left a phone behind in the van after our drop off and the tour guides were over the top helpful and drove the phone back to us once it was found! 10 out of 10 recommend this experience, best thing we did in Costa Rica!!

Best waterfall Tour ever!!
This was an INCREDIBLE tour. Juaquin helped make our experience one we will never forget! He took so much time showing us things on our hike, very knowledgeable and kind. We had an absolute blast in the pools and waterfalls, it was more than what we expected. We enjoyed a delicious Costa Rican breakfast and coffees before we started the hike. This ended up being by far our favorite tour in CR and highly recommend it to everyone. You will not be disappointed!! Juaquin took so many pictures and awesome videos of us that we will treasure. We had a fabulous time with Joaquin, our guide. He was really friendly, funny and great with the kids. The waterfalls were amazing too. He took nice photos and videos of us. Memorable experience for entire family!
We had an incredible experience today with Joaquin and Arnoldo. Those guys absolutely love their jobs and it shows! They made our experience exceptional! A tough but fun time - totally worth it
Unbelievable experience. It was just me and my 8-year-old son on my 41st birthday. Winston picked us up from our hotel right on time and drove us safely to base camp, pointing out sites along the way. At base camp we had a great meal of eggs, rice and beans, and plantains. The food was fantastic- and our new puppy friends enjoyed our scraps. We picked up our second guide, Lomar, and went off into the jungle. Winston and Lomar were so accommodating, and funny! We were all laughing throughout the tour, but they never took shortcuts with our safety. They’re knowledgeable about the wildlife and vegetation, and gave us the right balance of adventure and learning. This tour is not for the faint of heart. The cliff jumping is scary - but worth it - and the repelling is HARD - but also very worth it. It’s worth noting my son wasn’t big enough to do everything because of the waterfall pressure, but Winston and Lomar made sure he could participate as much as possible and didn’t feel left out. Last but not least, because it was my birthday they stopped at a bar for a celebratory shot and a beer on our way back to the hotel. I wasn’t expecting that and it was so cool of them to do that.

Experience of a lifetime! Lomar and Vince made us feel comfortable and were great guides. Lomar was very patient and helped my wife navigate the hike in wet conditions. Great Fun For the Whole Family
We had a blast. Christian and Wilson were awesome and made our experience wry pleasant. We were able to hike to some waterfalls and able to do two different “cliff jumps” if you wanted. That was the highlight for my kids. The hike was easy enough for my 8 year to do. They also fed us breakfast which was a total surprise and very delicious. Highly recommend this adventure. Great extreme fun
Great extreme waterfall tour! Just as described - jumps from 2 heights which was exciting, rappelling quick course from a platform, 4 rappels down a waterfall (sections) then the big daddy over the edge! Overall we felt fsafe but some parts are a bit treacherous. We were a family with 2 adults and 2 older teens. Hike out was cool but be warned it is very steep up. Wonderful local breakfast, great guides and adorable dogs!

Experience of a Lifetime
This far exceeded my expectations! We were picked up in Jaco and travelled to basecamp for a delicious home cooked breakfast and some puppy dog snuggles. After that, we travelled further up the mountain, with Lomar and Wilson, honestly the best guides we could have asked for. My 16 year old daughter and I had zero experience rappeling, I never felt uneasy or worried. Lomar and Wilson provided detailed and concise training, and ongoing feedback throughout each waterfall. Lomar also provided additional information on the surrounding area, wildlife and plants which I definitely appreciated. After the 4th and final waterfall, we hiked straight up out of the area back to the car. It was apparent that Lomar and Wilson love their jobs, and this made the whole experience one of my favorites throughout our week in Costa Rica. My daughter and I both wore swimsuits under exercise clothes that would dry quickly. I had a pair of trail shoes and she wore tennis shoes. I would recommend wearing a good pair of shoes, rather than water shoes or flip flops due to the amount of hiking throughout. We purchased waterproof cell phone cases from Amazon and those worked perfect to protect them throughout the trip.

A definate must in Jaco!!!
This trip was amazing from pick up to drop off.Lomar, our tour guide picked us up and brought us to the property where we were fed an authentic Costa Rican lunch. We then drove to a spot where we got out and started the hike. It was a vigorous hike up a trail where we stopped frequently when Lomar spotted something interesting and gave us a short explaination. We continued until we reached the 1st waterfall. Then the fun really began, we waded in the pools, sat under the waterfall and had an opportunity to jump into the water from various heights. Lomar took fantastic pictures of us in the water with our phone Then we finished loop and came back to our transport all the while learning more fun facts.Lomar stopped at the original location for us to use the rest room and get into the shuttle back to our hotel.Tip, wear a bathing suit with a cover up or water shorts and water shoes are a must!!

Wonderful Walk to Waterfalls
My family loved everything about this tour, from the fun ride in the crazy 4x4 to the flora and fauna that our wonderful guide Wilson showed us while we were walking in the forest. The water was cool and refreshing and the falls so beautiful. We thought we were seeing a few waterfalls, but the experience was so much more. Oh, and breakfast beforehand was fantastic. A day to remember in the Costarican jungles.
This was the adventure of a lifetime. Our guides Jaquin and Wilson were awesome. They were very personable and informative. They both taught us so much about Costarican wildlife , plants and customs. As we were driving, Wilson spotted a sloth off in the distance , Jaquin pulled over so that we could see it and get pictures. While we were stopped, a small toucan flew up and perched on a tree right above our heads. 2 items checked off of our bucket list in the matter of moments:) The waterfalls were amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband and I enjoyed watching the children jump from many different levelsd on the waterfalls while we swam below. Wilson and Jaquin took extreme care making sure that they were safe while they were having the time of their lives. The stop for lunch on the side of the mountain at Soda La Pena was the best meal of the trip. The proprietor was so nice and the guacamole and cantones were delicious. This is definitely a must do on your list when visiting Puntarenos. Pura vida!

Awesome experience in Jaco! This is the perfect tour if you are into thrill and breath-taking views. The guides were great and made you feel safe (but, didn't go overkill on safety). It was a good amount of exercise and safe but fun “daring” feats of climbing, hiking and jumping into waterfall pools. We had a family of 12 do the Waterfall Explorer tour. It was so great. We have been all over the world and my daughter said it was her favorite excursion ever. Lunch was simple and delicious. The ride to the preserve was almost as fun as the tour. Beautiful scenery and both guides would point out local plants and animals. Then, of course, the waterfalls. There are only a couple of places to swim, but both included jumps (one 30 feet high!!). Then, it absolutely poured rain. Being in a rainforest in a rainstorm is a beautiful experience. I highly recommend this tour.

We took our 14 year old and 12 year old twins on the extreme waterfall rappelling tour and can’t say enough great things. We met our ah-mazing guides (Wilson and Joaquin) in Jaco and rode with them up onto the mountain. We were served a lovely homemade breakfast at a small home in the hills (super charming and delicious!) before we transferred to the 4x4 and drove to the top. We locked our valuables in a lock box at the home where we ate before we left. Once at the top, they fitted us with our gear and off we went. First up there were two easy zip lines. I do not like that butterfly sensation that you get on roller coasters etc and I did not get any from the zip lines (or all day)!They teach you how to rappel from the landing platform of the last zip line. Our guides were awesome at coaching us on how to control our speed and helping us get past our fear! Seriously, it is all in your head. :)Next up, everyone but me (because butterflies) did some “cliff jumping” into a swimming hole and then we started our rappel. After the 4th rappel we were able to peek over the canyon edge and decide if we really wanted to do the final “extreme” 180ft waterfall. Three of us did (including me) and two didn’t. So, three of us went with Wilson and the other two headed back to the 4x4 with Joaquin. As other reviewers have mentioned, the hike out is no joke. It’s a 1/4 miles on the river and then another 1/4 mile or so that is so steep that you clip onto a rope to prevent falling (like via ferrata) and then another 1/3 a mile of steep scrambling/hiking out. Don’t chicken out on the last waterfall! It’s just like all the others, you control your speed and can go slow and steady. It’s so pretty and so worth it!

Zipp lining was easy and fun, repelling down the waterfalls took some practice, diving into the pool of water was fun. If you have never repelled before it takes some practice but our guides never made us feel unsafe.

Eine Tour, wie wir sie noch nicht hatten. Wir hatten bereits 2 Naturtouren gemacht, wo wir bei weitem nicht so viele Tiere gesehen haben, wie auf dieser Tour. Obwohl das nicht der Fokus der Tour ist, aber der Guide (Cristian), kannte sich super aus und hat es so entspannt übermittelt. Es hat einfach Spaß gemacht, vorallem das Baden, Rutschen und Springen. Der einzige Nachteil, worüber man schnell hinweg gesehen hat, ist der Treffpunkt. Hier müsste dieser genauer definiert werden (mit Shopname, wo man warten sollte). P.S. Man wird bei der Bushaltestelle abgeholt, da wo die Wasser Fountainen über den Weg spritzen. Wir hatten die Nachmittagstour und das Glück, nur zu 4 zu sein. Vor Ort war keine Menschenaeele, sodass es quasi eine Private Tour war.

Total immersion into Costa Rican nature!
What can I say? This was our favorite activity in Costa Rica! Joaquin and Christian are exceptional tour guides. After a delicious local breakfast there was a fun 4x4 ride up to our hiking spot, where we stopped a couple of times along the way to point out blue morph butterflies, termite nests, and falcons, we started on a beautiful slow hike to see a series of waterfalls and freshwater pools. Everyone floated, jumped and played while Christian took totally amazing action pics of everyone in our group. I swear they are practically cinematographers! Jaco can be kind of touristy but in this tour, we felt totally immersed in Costa Rica! We really really loved this activity and cannot recommend this enough!

Awesome tour! We were a group of 14 and the tour was able to set up a private tour for our large group. The staff of Christian, Lomar, Alexis, Arnolda were terrific in getting the group through all the repelling safely with a lot of fun and laughs! This is not a easy tour however our group ranged from 21 - 60 and all made it with som effort. Highly recommend for the tour and terrific staff!!

A great hike and beautiful waterfalls!
We were warmly met by our guide, Christien. After a short trek to basecamp, we prepared for the journey to the hiking trail. It was a rugged journey but was made very entertaining by our lovely guides. They shared knowledge of the sites that we passed along the way. The hiking journey was great. Not too challenging, but make sure to wear proper shoes. The waterfalls were amazing to see and swim in. We got some great photos there. After a short hike back to our meeting place we returned back to base camp and then back to our original meeting place. The guides were very personable, this makes the experience so much better. I highly recommend this excursion!

Adrenaline junkie? This is for you!
We did the waterfall repelling tour, and it was super fun. Warning! This is not for the faint of heart! The waterfall you rappel down is legit! The awesome thing is that it’s starts small and you work up to the biggest rappel which is 150 feet. The tour starts off with breakfast then a super fun drive in a tricked out Toyota truck four-wheel-drive adventure, then a long zip line, then another faster zip line, then you get to trek down the riverbed to the repelling area. You will definitely get your fill of repelling as there are 6 pitches total. Our guides Lomar and Christian were really awesome. They both spoke excellent English and I felt very safe. Their equipment was all Quality and well-maintained. Definitely wear well fitting shoes because strait into the waterfall is the path that you take! Make sure you bring cash for a tip, guides deserve way more than servers at restaurants because your life is in their hands and they are specially trained and very hard working. I would absolutely do this trip again!

incredible adventure
We lucked out and essentially had a private tour because my husband and I were the only participants. Our guides Cristian and Lomar took great care of us, pointed out several neat animals (poison dart frog, blue butterfly, birds), and kept us laughing the whole time with their humor. Neither of us had rappelled down waterfalls before, so it was an adventure that we'll never forget. "Canyoning" is so fun, and this particular tour was incredible because of the guides and the beautiful nature encountered. Heads up, a huge delicious Tico breakfast is provided at base camp. I can't imagine a better adventure tour.

4 Hour Waterfall Tour from Jaco
Great hike! Our guide Christian was knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and has great pride in the local wilderness. The included lunch at the basecamp was the best authentic Costa Rican food we had our entire stay. Make sure you have good quality water shoes or strapped sandals! A rain hat would be good too, as the rain is unpredictable and comes and goes quickly.

Zip lining has been on my bucket list and this company was the perfect company to have your first zip lining company to be with. Especially in Costa Rica! The guides were great. Don't Think Twice!
The pictures don't do the tour justice! This was an unforgettable experience that I can't recommend enough. My fiance and I went into this with absolutely no experience and still had the time of our lives. Our tour guides were Christine and Herold, great guys. Must do!!! Omg I can’t express how much fun we had. We got to hike up a bunch of waterfalls swim in the pools of them as well. Christian was our guide and he was so nice! Not to mention he made me feel safe too. My fiancé is very care free whereas I am more cautious and somewhat of a chicken ….but Christian made sure to go at a slower pace cause of me and showed me where to go and what not. There’s a spot at the end to with a high jump into the pools ( I, the chicken didn’t it tho but they did haha) Couple suggestions: wear water Sandals or water shoes. We both had hiking shoes on and had to wade through some water. Also take a Dramamine if you get car sick as the roads up can be a lil curvy/bumpy (but again Christian drove careful and kept us safe).

My wife and I have to rate this our all time favorite activity EVER!! Beautiful scenario, challenging, yet rewarding experience. Repelling was highlight but jumping into pools was amazing. Joaquin and Herald are the best guides, professional and friendly!! We would do this again in a heartbeat!

Highly recommend the canyoning tour. Guides were super friendly and knowledgeable about the local fauna and flora. Also had a great breakfast to start out the adventure with the cutest dogs. 10/10 would do it again!

This was one of our favorite tours on this trip. We were taken into the jungle on a large 4x4 truck and then we hiked into the jungle and learned about the plants and wildlife until we got to a series of waterfalls that we were able to jump into and swim. The hike out was great as well and they fed us an amazing lunch. I highly recommend

Extreme Canyoning - Great Experience
This was an incredible experience. It felt more “off the beaten path” than any other tour I have been on from Jaco. We did the extreme canyoning version. The extreme part was very scary because I think the water levels were higher than normal. However, the guides made us feel safe and helped us conquer something that looked impossible from the top of the waterfall. I would recommend this tour to anyone coming to Jaco.

The tour was excellent.My lady and I enjoyed ourselves and will do it again when we travel to Costa Rica.The tour guide, Lomar, was helpful.I was unaware how the people made war-paint until I saw what leaf it came from.I recommend Costa Rica Tour Guide to people. Wonderful tour began with lunch provided by fruit-farming women. Zipped over the river twice then a series of rappels down the waterfall. Safety Assured by cautious guides even in jumping diving into deep pool below Waterfall. Costa Rica waterfall tours are just incredible, not only do they offer great waterfall tours with knowledgable guides and super safe experiences they can also help you with other parts of your trip too, for example if you want to arrange private tours to other areas of Costa Rica not listed as standard. Joe - you are and have been an absolute diamond. The most fun I've ever had! We did the 4 and a half hour waterfall rappelling and zip lines tour and it was amazing and beautiful and super super fun!!! Our guides were Wilson and Ronald and they were hilarious and so knowledgeable about the beautiful plants and animals in the rainforest.
